Nah Ishant has already 'arrived'. Nobody's picking him in the hopes that he's going to improve and become world class someday, we're just picking him because he's still one of the best options. If Ishant plays later in the season he will have been playing tests for 10 years and played more matches against Australia than Sunil Gavaskar
He's going to come good soon though
Jaws?Ishant doesn't have a good nickname so you pick Yadav
I get that it was a joke, but it was still implying people think he's going to get betterThat is a humongous woosh

indeedI can't even wah properly.
Agree, India got more bad / marginal umpire decisions going their way because they were hitting the pads more often. And not all of them would have been overturned if there was DRS, is possible that a couple of Jadeja's bad / marginal lbws from arm balls were actually shaving the outside of leg. Possibly.Nah, we tend to remember the bad calls more that went against NZ, because we struggled so much to get wickets... India were actually on the receiving end of quite a few howlers themselves, but they just didn't cost as much because their bowlers were good enough to create other chances soon after. Weaker sides often seem more unlucky in that respect.

Full strength has to be something likeSo what's the call on Santa? #1 spinner who bats at 8? Part time spinner who bats at 6/7 (BJ bats at 6, next keeper bats at 7)?
IMHO he has the ability to be a real all-rounder in white ball cricket (batting at 6/7, bowling a full spell), but for test matches will be better if he specialises.
