***Official*** New Zealand in India 2012

Well I won't say it was a 'good day' of cricket ... I'll just say it was a 'day'. The sun rose and then set, and something happened in between.

A good day for India of course.
I enjoyed myself. At 50/4 I wasn't a happy camper mind-

From here I see Franklin making another 20 runs before KVW gets out and then we are in real strife.

I think I have more faith in Bracewell playing a long hand to support Franklin.

But I hope Kruger proves me wrong.

That caps a great day of play for New Zealand. Some brilliant bowling early on to get Yadav out and as long as Franklin's at the crease I really don't see how they can lose.

Haven't seen a score, but Shri looks to have posted a fair bit in this thread so I assume India are on top?

Very unsporting Wicket. Made the Test Match boring. It is just unfair on part of India to prepare a mud wrestling patch as a Cricket Pitch.
Looks a pretty decent pitch, something in it for the spinners and batting isnt that easy in overcast conditions

I don't shy away from posting when we don't do well. I usually get banned when we don't do well taking baits from trolls. So yeah the fact that I am still around means we have done well ****. Now go stuff some KFC up your ass.

Oh dear.

Ashwin bowled well, but there is no way a Test standard batting lineup should be 106 for 5 on that pitch. The game has been lost in one session of **** batting.

Once again NZ's top order fail miserably.

Story of NZ test cricket for the last five years (at least).

The score should be 29/2. How often do you see the bails not falling after the ball hits the stump? Guptill - lucky s.o.b.
Saw it last Sunday, actually. Clipped the off stump, which sort of edged in and out again, and the bail went nowhere. I caught the ball and swore a lot, IIRC.

It was indeed mean of them to make a pitch that remained totally flat while New Zealand were bowling but mysteriously transformed into a minefield when it was India in the field.

Same old crappy formula still good for India since 70's when they started playing test cricket.
  • Invite foreign team specially non-asian teams
  • Make dead pitches, flat, no grass, no bounce basically dead body.
  • Win the toss(I guess they use same head both sides), their batsman becomes tigers all of sudden on dead pitches, so they score around 400-500 runs
  • then declare the innings, they always have 3-4 spinners, these 3-4 spinners share all the overs and bowl out the opponent under 250 and then rest is history.

I don't know when Indian start challenging themselves and play are challenging test cricket where they wont play to win and draw mostly.

Why does challenging cricket have to be played on a seaming green top?

Clearly the Kiwi batsmen are challenged by the conditions they're facing. Good for Test cricket imo. Pull your head in son.
