NO!

Kane is not allowed to get out.

Jeets ton still on, alongside the Franklin double.

Cutting a spinner on a wicket that's doing a bit, two overs before stumps. There's "playing your natural game" and there's "being a *&^%ing idiot". Our batsmen always seem to fall on the wrong side of that line.

Don't be ridiculous Dan. A Jeets ton isn't on the cards, he'll be stranded in the 50s.
I guess asking Chris Martin to hold on that long was a bit too much. Jeets to make 50 then rip through the Indian line-up by getting them to hit everything at mid off.

This performance by NZ is similar to their recent ones against the West Indies. The bowlers manage to do relatively fine while the batsmen just completely **** up.

India as no 1:

Home -
W:4 L:1 D:2

W/L: 4

Away:
W:3 L:6 D:4

W/L: 0.5

England as no 1:

Home:
W:2 L:2 D:2

W/L: 1

Away:
W:1 L:4

W/L: 0.25

Our away record as no 1 is better than England's yet when we were number 1 it was "India still has to prove themselves in England etc etc" while when England was no 1 "OMG best team eva".
your original post alluded to how england or india got to number 1 in the world. rather than how they performed as no.1. England have been poor as no.1 - agreed. They also deserved to get to number 1 on the back of their results in the 3 years prior to making no.1 imo

I'm sorry if you think my post is a case of white guy posting against brown guy(as you put it). Let's just discuss cricket here.

And yet in both it's been the fielding that's been the single most disappointing aspect

Well I won't say it was a 'good day' of cricket ... I'll just say it was a 'day'. The sun rose and then set, and something happened in between.

A good day for India of course.

So far, the recall of the two Wellington guys has been about the only success for the kiwis (ok, Boult looked ok...). Matthew Bell and Richard Jones to open the batting in the second test!
