*Official** New Zealand in England

Well 300 odd should be quite challenging for England to chase.. But it could turn into a walk in the park with the current bowling attack... They still have Cairns though

Yeah I do feel sorry for Richardson.. Still, nobody can accuse him of not pulling his weight.. He looks like a good batsman who has his game in tip top condition...

Why doesn't Mills have a runner? It's a waste having a runner of McCullum's speed for Martin when he can't run fast because Mills is unable to keep up.

I think I heard or read that Richardson had batted a combined total of 11 hours over the series...now surely, he would be seeking answers as to why NZ were not able to push on & set challenging totals.

Ok, England 284 to win.

I think a draw is very unlikely at this stage.

Either we'll see 284 runs scored, or we'll see 10 wickets fall, and I think the latter is the less likely of the two.

I hope Bracewell gets booted..

A coach has alot more importance in a test match than in a ODI..

NZ have showen they are up there in the ODIS but when it comes to tests we seem to falter... and this time it was painfully obvious why

I don't think any of the batsmen have batted in the same position more than 2 or 3 consecutive times with the exception of Richardson & Papps.
Martin? :D
The fielding has slipped to below our usual standards
Not sure about the previous series, but our fielding hasn't been too shabby in England, with Fleming, McMillan and Astle doing pretty nicely in particular (or else I just missed all their fumbles). Have we dropped many?
& apart from Chris Martin against South Africa, our bowling has been mediocre to say the least.
Franklin has been nice, even if it was just one innings. Vettori wasn't half bad, just unlucky, and Cairns has found form just in time to go away (:().
Last year people were complaining about Ashley Ross coaching in India..but at least we fought hard & almost won the series in the 2nd test.
Shades of the West Indies tour in 1995??
Bring back Rixon! ;)

The draw is most unlikely, short of a thunderstorm - and you're not going to get one of those, I don't think.

I wouder if New Zealand have thought about using Cairns as an offie in this second innings?

Jones grassed another..but it didn't really matter anyway.

Quite frankly..test cricket is what matters to me most & the test cricket NZ have recently played has been well below that of what they were achieving in years gone by.
There is absolutely no doubt that Bracewell has been part of the reason & that there are players in that team who don't like his hands on approach.

I don't think he'll be asking questions, because I'm sure the majority of them right now know the answers. The only questions he'll be asking would be reminiscent of a certain labourer who managed a #1 in the music charts.

They may aswell bowl Richardson....I can see it sticking out a mile that NZ cricket will use the excuse of injuries as to why NZ have struggled...which in fairness is half true but there are still other questions that need to be addressed which I doubt will happen.

Martin Snedden was on Murray Deakers show the other day & there was a large number of callers furious at Bracewell & McMillan.

If I were Snedden, i'd be looking at scopeing out John Wright and seeing if he's interested in coming back to NZ in the near future.
