Stupid from Broad should have seen out the over after the 6. Arguably should be blocking anyway at this stage with Burns on 91. Burns in danger of being stranded. Said earlier I smelt him being still in 9 down and carrying his bat or last out. Didn’t expect him to still be under 100 though. Ridden his luck but would be very annoying to be stranded in 90s carrying bat. Anderson has a job to do now and Burns needs to immediately tee off I think which he isn’t great at

Yeah didn’t like the approach at all though most test captains seem to get that way when dealing with last wicket partnerships.

Good on Burns for playing the Conway role, can feel quite satisfied given he was well tested by NZ.Managed to bring down the deficit quite significantly - looks too difficult for NZ to advance the game enough to push for a win.
