Not me, I take some sort of sick pleasure watching someone who has achieved significantly more than me fail at the last hurdle.Actually feel sorry for Bracey
Thanks ErvSorry not going to mince Bracey looks terrible behind the stumps. Tom Blundell first time on test tour is doing a way better job. The lad needs plenty of work. Very hard hands and slow lateral movements.
Why was he picked? Like, has he been a fixture on Lions tours?
The Bracey bandwagon is a slightly odd one. He was a bit of a left field call up last home summer when England picked a massive initial squad for the first covid bubble but scored runs in the intra squad game and generally impressed the coaches enough to keep him around for the rest of the summer and then take him on the Asia tour too as a backup. It helps that he can bat in the top or middle order and keep, so a useful squad guy.
He's started the county season well batting in the top 3 for Gloucestershire. I think it's Burns' slot he's threatening. Butter will still be first choice wk when the IPL guys are made available again and Foakes probably still his deputy.
Yeah Broaderson were as ragged starting off as Boult/Henry were yesterday. But equally Taylor’s looked so much better today, strokes all around the wicket. Not great bowling in the first hour, but full credit to New Zealand.
