When you get all excited to see 6 notifications, and then it just turns out to be jcas liking 6 posts that aren't even good.

jcas, the new cnerd.
I didn't even like your best one either! I probably have been overgenerous in handing them out though.

As it is, I feel the game is way more evenly balanced than the scorecard suggests. If England nips out Taylor in the morning, then there’s a long tail behind him. Given the forecast is set fair for days 3 and 4, NZ need a 100 run lead to feel confident of wrapping this up.
If we lose max one wicket in the first 20 overs of the new ball we are right in the box seat. If we lose three then England are suddenly into our tail with Wagner very high at 8. Quite a stark difference.

It’ll be a tough morning for Ross, I think he’ll need a healthy dose of luck to make it through the first hour. If he does it and pushes on to a hundred, I’ll probably genuinely cry. He’s looked so past it that if he managed to fulfill Crowe’s task of 20 hundreds whilst operating on nothing but ring craft and the last fumes of his talents I think it might be too much for my heart to take.

Broad and Anderson aren’t particularly happy at not getting through Taylor so far. Can expect a battle now.

Stone and Wood should have bowled with the new ball. Either they'd have got a couple or would have roughed up the ball for Broad and Jimmy to use a ball that had serious shine on one side.

I like Holding going on about a 240 lead at the end of the day when they're still 40 behind. I'd would be very surprised if they make 550.

Not even a new ball is beating the bat. Can't ask for better conditions to bat. Got to be piling runs today and nothing less than 450 from here on is good enough.
