Geez, has Boult been getting bowling tips from Neesham during their time with MI? Hope he gets more consistent in the second innings.

You'll have to bear with me hyping up Conway and Blundell.... go the Wellington lads. Conway isn't but he kind of is

Gotta love how thrown captains get when faced with the combination of no.11 and a set batsman.

300 is so often a good score for us at home. It's a nice milestone to reach, even if it doesn't seem like par on this pitch.
I don't remember many ridiculously high scoring games at Edgbaston, however benign this pitch looks.

And 303 it is. We'll soon find out, I suppose.

4-wicket haul flatters Boult but his ability to prise out left-handers is still useful. (India's top 5 are all RHs so he needs to find his range fast)

Good stuff, right as it looked really bad we got it back together. Probably 50+ more runs than we should have conceded but oh well. Excited to see us bat, a lot of unknowns in the order today!

The umpires of late are very reluctant to give lbw. Particularly in this series. I think the match referee reviews the decisions that umpires gave and works out how many they got right. They should also consider how many they didn't give and how many were actually out.

No idea whether it's enough, but I'd have taken this when the sixth wicket fell yesterday.
I think most of us NZ supporters would have also taken this when the team sheet was announced, and at lunch yesterday. Decent I suppose from NZ though they'll battle to repeat this in the second dig.

Makes for an interesting test for sure.

If Conway can bat through this session we'll post a big one. There's a bit of trend to Conway's batting. If he gets to 30+ high chances he'll get a hundred.

Losing the toss and knocking over England for 300 is pretty good. 275 would have been perfect but haven't leaked too many particularly after the first session on day 1 with England on 75 for none
