Na, disagree. He's looked pretty compact and solid in defence, has left well and put a couple of bad balls away.A pity too, Guptill hasn't looked comfortable at all.

Quite so. I struggle to sympathise with a someone who does this for a living not making sure that part of his foot is behind the crease. What a ****ing dickhead.
Really?A pity too, Guptill hasn't looked comfortable at all.
Wary/unsure would be more appropriate, he's looked surprised a couple of times with Wood.Really?
Sucks for Wood though, I really do hate that 'alright better check if this is a no ball because he took a wicket crap'
Nicking off on off stump is overplayed as a technical flaw. There's a reason bowlers aim for off stump and it's that there isn't too much a batsman can do about it. But I will say that he has a problem in closing the bat face because the bat comes down at an angle. It's not a massive technical flaw but it is something that I'm pretty sure he's working on.Impressed with Latham so far - tidy economical movements, straight bat and compact. England just starting to hone in on offstump where he often nicks off - probably haven't bowled enough there to him yet.
Not the same kind of bowler but the best country bowler statistically for years (Mark Davies) never got a game because of his injuries partly caused by his action.Cannot see Wood lasting through the summer regardless of how well he bowls, given his action
Yep. But 315 @ 22 not to be sniffed at. He was hard to score off. He did get in an around the squad a few times but always seemed to get injured.Davies also bowled at about 130km/h max.
