Norwood's on Fire
remember an hour ago when people thought 300 and now this record chase was easy?

Cook's a wuss and gets away with it because he has two world class bowlers (and now a tidy spinner and a promising third seamer).
Can easily turn that logic around and say he didn't feel the need to take unnecessary risks BECAUSE he has two top class seamers.

Easy to sit at your keyboard and call him out for us batting on, he'd be eaten alive if he declared at HQ and we lost. Nobody in this country would be praising him for an enterprising approach then I assure you.

Not Terrible
Nonsense.

Can't find cab's post now - but I'd expect sky may hype the record more next time round. He went into this test somewhere around 200 or so away from it so they've perhaps just assumed he wouldn't be getting it here
He isn't exactly Brian Lara.

You've got me wrong buddy..my great day came not long ago against a certain team in Barbados!! :D..but jokes aside i'm just being honest about Guppers and tbh Latham is the same and he's folded just like his partner.

Now Kane and Taylor are gonna have to dig in here and take this to lunch at the very least...because i wouldn't trust Mccullum to stick around for long tbh.
You're absolutely right

So? Being the top run scorer for the country who's probably played the most Tests is not something to be sniffed at. Just because he doesn't 'excite' doesn't make his achievements unworthy.

Can't believe some of you lot thought England shouldn't declare. They've got piles of runs, could have easily declared overnight. We're not getting anywhere near this target.

Yeah cause it's not like McCullum ever batted 2 days to save a test whist scoring 300 or anything. Christ.

State Captain
Because England didn't have any when they bowled of course...
Good point. Eng had two "umpire's call" lbw reviews turned down and one "umpire's call" given out. Didn't check to see if there were any more non-reviews turned down. So umpires ruled 7-1 not out "umpire's call" lbws not out on day 1-4. Today going 0-2.

Nah, truth be told Cook deserves to fall short with NZ 9 down at stumps by being such a ****
