We need to somehow survive the opening burst here. Cloud cover, filthy pitch. Good test for Shanto and co
Yeah, he bowled well in that game. Bowled awfully in helpful conditions v Pakistan in the pool game, and wasn't much better through the rest of the pool stages. Hard to criticise for the final, because they didn't want him bowling to Stokes.I believe his wickets since 2019 WC have come at 50 apiece, which is a concern. But equally, I feel he doesn’t get enough credit when the 2019 semifinal is remembered. Kept the lid on India right through and those wickets of Pant and Pandya were massive.
Oh yeah I remember that. That was in the 30th over or so, from memory?
They only missed a miserable bye, not like it would of made a difference to the outcome.
Can't believe he averages 37 with the ball in odi cricketSuch a shame this guy hasn't played more for NZ, he looks so dangerous when he's on.
He's spent most of his career keeping the runs down through the middle overs, but without taking wickets. New Milne that takes wickets by swinging the ball is a welcome development. Can't believe he averages 37 with the ball in odi cricket
Yes , he reminds me of Dilhara Fernando in that aspectIt's fair to say throughout Milne's career he's often looked better than what his stats suggest.
I think he bowls at least two bad balls in every over and struggle to control the swing a bitCan't believe he averages 37 with the ball in odi cricket
Yeah I noticed in this innings he has bowled down the leg side a couple of times , hence he's going at 6.5 an over , but if you can get a couple of wickets you'd take thatI think he bowls at least two bad balls in every over and struggle to control the swing a bit
