I wonder what happens in terms of ICC points if the game's washed out today and the two teams share the trophy?
Yes.marc71178 said:Can you say they're more accurate?
thanks for that mate, please may it not rain much...James90 said:It hasn't rained at my place for about an hour. Hold on....I think i may see some drizzle. It was fine just before and I think we'll see a shortened match but hopefully there will be a match
he should have expected it.. I was Pointing out what did happen. in the end you can say what you like but that was the reason he droped it..marc71178 said:But surely he can't have expected a ball from Brett Lee to come so quickly off the edge?!
From what I've seen, it's pretty unlikely. We've got a little under three hours left to start play in order to squeeze out the minimum 20 overs a side game.cric_manic said:eny chance of play
I prefer handing all the responsibility back to the umpires on the ground to make all the calls ( including chucking, but that's another argument ), and having people respect that while they will make mistakes, they're honest mistakes and LET IT GO. Given that that isn't likely to happen...Slow Love™ said:Not to beat a dead horse, but I think the argument that some of these decisions being referred to the umpire will slow the game too much is not a strong one. Like I've said before, in my experience people find the delay in waiting for the third umpire's decision to be quite suspenseful. If it results in fairer outcomes than what we're generally getting, then I'm all for it.
I would only incorporate the technology to sort out bat-pad decisions and edges, at this point. LBW's I'd leave alone, because the only aspect of the technology that I'm not convinced about is hawkeye (because it predicts, rather than reports).telsor said:There is a big difference between going to the 3rd Umpire for runouts ( 2-3 times/day ) and for every LBW or disputable catch...
