Agree with this. Conservative selection, tactics and captain. Frustrating. We’re such a defensive team, that’s in how we play and how the team is selected. We ain’t winning many games with Santner, Bracewell and Neesham expected to bowl through the middle overs.
I mean I don't rate Stoinis but Green is a generational talent, not really a fair/worthwhile comparisonIs there any aspect of cricket in which Stoinis is superior to Green?
Can't think of any
Neesham has to be in the side. We’re such a defensive team, that’s in how we play and how the team is selected. We ain’t winning many games with Santner, Bracewell and Neesham expected to bowl through the middle overs.
Well one is in the wt20 squad and other isn't soI mean I don't rate Stoinis but Green is a generational talent, not really a fair/worthwhile comparison
How do we go about getting Santner out then? Just pick worse spinners? Ajaz? We’re such a defensive team, that’s in how we play and how the team is selected. We ain’t winning many games with Santner, Bracewell and Neesham expected to bowl through the middle overs.
Absolutely, or Cummins.Doesn't Stoinis get punted for Marsh anyway?
I always keep wondering how Santner gets into this team regularlyHow do we go about getting Santner out then? Just pick worse spinners? Ajaz?
Santner was player of the series in the West Indies. He is a quality white ball player. How do we go about getting Santner out then? Just pick worse spinners? Ajaz?
Santner's fine. Didn't bowl that well today but still the leading white ball spinner. 10 overs of Neesham/Macewell is a problem though, I wouldn't have them both in the same XI (preferably Macewell out, but they're determined to pick him). Maybe worth trying Mitchell or Phillips in that role though I don't have high hopes. Need to find someone who can bowl to a similar standard as de Grandhomme and bat respectably. How do we go about getting Santner out then? Just pick worse spinners? Ajaz?
Stoinis averages 45+ with the ball in ODI's at an econ of 6 while bowling about 5 overs a game. Fairly certain that Smith and/or marnus can contribute the same to the team in terms of bowling.I see the logic, but then who's your 6th bowler? Marnus or Smith? Also Maxwell is not always going to give you 10 overs (and completely change the game) with the ball.
Bigger biceps. Is there any aspect of cricket in which Stoinis is superior to Green?
Can't think of any

If they really want a longer batting line-up (or Agar as second spinner in Asia) they can rotate the 3 fast bowlers around and play an extra bat (Marnus, Inglis, Wade)
Not cricket related bruhBigger biceps.
i’d say long levers but Green is massive himself. Stoinis was supposed to be a half decent death bowler once, does he even bowl that much these days?Is there any aspect of cricket in which Stoinis is superior to Green?
Can't think of any
him along with Williamson are the only elite mentality cricketers in this side. I am amused that their fans want him out at nearly every juncture because he is too hipNeesham has to be in the side.
