in terms of the gulf between how good this bowling lineup should be and how they've actually performed it's definitely the worst. Some of the lineups in the past were just plain bad so you can't blame them too much.

India's visit was just after, and I recall everyone here being absolutely relieved and even a bit surprised that the Perth test was allotted to Pakistan (no explanation needed obviously). Shoaib and co pretty much short-pitched their way out of contention in that series.

Wow, I was genuinely looking forward to this test series, thought it would be tight. It feels like New Zealand are just under-prepared / not quite with it mentally. Cudos Williamson though, class.
