**Official** New Zealand in Australia 2015

Amazing how quickly opinion on McCullum's captaincy has changed in a month

The constant praise for him prior to this series was sickening, but after the success the team had in the WC I figured it was fair enough. Captain is often judged by team performance after all.

But this series he has just been so bad it's ridiculous.
I still think he's a good captain. But he's been very poor this series.

His bizarre captaincy kinda worked in England, in part I think he conned the Poms at times and it paid off. Australia haven't had a barr and when it's come time for more traditional, patient, sensible cricket he's gone missing.

The brand of cricket New Zealand is playing now is great when it comes off and terrible when it doesn't. First test against England was a great case in point and so has this match. Craig the epitome of it really.

You're making too much out of it. Merely a case of him skippering well the last couple of years & been off the boil this series. Nothing more, nothing less.

Mind you it hasn't helped that Boult has been performing at 30%, he's lost a genuinely handy all-rounder or two and has a waste of space at #1.

tbh this series is the first I've really seen of him, but I can imagine his style of captaincy being the one that looks really good when things go your way

I think one of the high points of McCullum's captaincy was that WC match vs England. Everything worked.

Nothing I can add that hasn't been said about Brendon's captaincy. Really, really poor all Test and in Brisbane with his constant chopping and changing of fields.

And I am sick to death of seeing our lower order do the same **** over and over. Craig caught behind with a ball going across, Southee out for 10-15 slogging out to a deep fielder, and Boult being a pea-heart to bowling that was 140km tops. Seen it far too often.

Can't remember being more angry about a Test result if we lose. Incompetency from all angles.

Completely changed my tune on Santner. Happily have a guy in our middle order who sells his wicket dearly and will only get better. The dropped catch, it happens. Attitude means everything.
