The whole problem is that they get commentators purely because of their cricket background and not because they're good commentators.

He did play a lot of first class cricket though so it's not like he's clueless.
Doesn't help also when just listening to their voices is like a nail on a chalkboard, Brayshaw's voice in particular just ruins any moment it covers

it was annoying how many times he referred to warner as 'the little man' or some variation yesterday. pint-sized dynamo etc kinda unprofessional lol

you know i think New Zealand won that day.

pity about losing the previous six so hard you'd think it was Bangladesh bowling to Australia.

New Zealand's project for tomorrow should be to keep Starc out there long enough for him to get injured before the pink ball under lights.

Tomorrow is an important day for Hazlewood. There is about a 10 day gap between Tests so there is time to recover, but he'd want to improve on his 3/186 to start the season. This is of course after Hazlewood was dropped from the Fifth Ashes Test. A big performance from Siddle or Pattinson in the Shield and a poor Test from Hazlewood could see a change IMO.

Thrilled we got Warner early. First time I have seen Trent use the crease like that I can remember. Mark's Craig's catch basically justified the decision to select him. It wasn't a "hard" catch but it wasn't easy either.
Well done NZ on getting 9 wickets, some of them had to be really earned.

Good display with the batting. Good innings by Latham. Needs to use his bottom hand/fingers more to guide the ball into the gaps.

Very nervous during the last over of the day.

The game plan has become survive Starc, score off everyone else.

Unless New Zealand survive I have difficulties seeing any changes to the Adelaide Test barring injury. I do think now though that Siddle should be in our best attack, at least until Patto is 100% match fit.

Don't think he's bowled that badly anyway, has felt like every time he's gotten it slightly wrong it's a boundary ball which I think might have a bit to do with the approach of New Zealand. Looked better than Johnson did this Test IMO.

That said, it's a concern that he doesn't look like he's learned how to bowl to lefties, given that hurt him quite a bit in England.

Anyway Williamson just looks unstoppable right now. Good fight from New Zealand, can see this partnership hurting hard.

Hazlewood has been excellent in both tests. If anyone could be accused of making things difficult for Smith it would be Johnson. Williamson has loved him so far.

I wouldn't read into this test too much for Haze. It's been tough for anyone who isn't 6'5'', doesn't bowl 150kph, and isn't called mitchell starc.

Yeah Haze has bowled well in both Tests. Much better than he bowled in England despite his comparatively better figures there.
