No way it's true over a 5 test series. The existence of Don Bradman alone is almost enough for me to doubt it. 3 test series though....
Yeah it's bugging me that I can't find a way to make statsguru show that stat. So far I can't find any series where a single top 3 made more than 6 but there are lots of examples of 6.

Even Gilbert Enoka will be baulking at the shattered physches he's going to have to shore up.
Sigmund Freud would probably take a pass as well....

Is Freud available as a bowling coach? Don't know if it would be a backward step, at this stage.

biggest tragedy here is the best batsman in the world is relegated to sitting in the shed and deciding when to declare, and if he does get out to bat he'll just be there to have a slog.

Someone in the know told me that the Aussies give us a different ball to play with....it's a lesser ball, hence it goes out of shape quickly.
The good batches go to the Aussie quicks.

Some further predictions (I've been right all along so might as well keep going)

1) NZ will lose by an innings - well duh, not that brave a prediction
2) Taylor will score less than 10 in both innings
3) Williamson will score 50s in both but no 100s this time
4) McCullum will fail in one innings but score a 50 in the other
5) Guptil will bat bravely but won't get to 50
6) Southee will swing like crazy and connect with a few but will give his wicket cheaply in both innings

REALLY? They were the number 1 ranked side in the world at the time and no one knew who the Pakistan spinners were.
Yeah I'm pretty sure people thought Pakistan would struggle with all those newbie bowlers sans Ajmal.

Mind you, that has nothing to do with how we bowled.
