Hmm I'm actually a bit dubious about that stat now that I look into it more. Hayden/Langer/Ponting also scored 6 centuries in the 02/03 Ashes and the cricinfo thing said it was the first time since 1978. So might just be wrong.

Cook, Strauss and Trott got 6 in 10/11 as well.

No way it's true over a 5 test series. The existence of Don Bradman alone is almost enough for me to doubt it. 3 test series though....
