Marty Kain has moved to USA I think. He's working towards a cricketing career in USA. Could even feature in major cricket league.
Ebrahim probably met Stu Duff around the central traps, he could pick him, if Kain unavailable.

In between looking a million bucks v spin, hes given 2 easy stumping chances, now out slog sweeping one too full.

Good debut knock, but he left a debut ton out there today.

Promising talent.

Abbas is gone but firebirds can definitely work with this kid. Robinson and Abbas can fill in the spots of Allen and Rachin/ Bracewell. So glad firebirds have continued to bank on youth. There's Greenwood and also Severin. They're very positive players too. Although results may not show but I quite like the future look of firebirds

Which Greenwood are you talking about? I thought the younger one looked quite classy for the Wgtn U19s.

Although, dont think his numbers were that impressive.

Not the younger one the older one. He's played for firebirds. He plays for jersey am associate nation during our winter

Haven't watched it, but really good stuff from Wellington this IMO. Presuming MAbbas isn't so great bowling-wise, they went with a touring squad with only 3 proper pacers: something that few PS sides are willing to do. Georgeson performed his role to perfection there, which really enabled Kelly, MAbbas, and Smith to score so freely. Selection was good – got Allen to play which is great, and played a non-astronomical number of bowlers.

Rippon really should be a batting AR at this point.

Good fifty by Katene Clarke following up his excellent form in the Super Smash. Shipley seems to have enjoyed the shift to Plunket Shield. Maybe he will be in contention for the Sri Lanka tests.

Amongst the pleasent surprise at some of the youth selected for this round of PS, should be noted that Cumming is not in the Otago 12.

That is pretty disappointing. Is he injured? I really like what I have seen of Cumming Jnr.

I dont know.

Played his career best knock so far 2 weeks ago in the Englabd warm up game, would be a very Ebrahim-like read of the situation that I think he's just rotated out because G Phillips is available, everyone move up one spot, Parkes makeshift opener.

Or, i could be wrong, just speculating in the vacuum of our zero cricket media...

That Wellington team is seriously ***y. Almost everyone is on the rise in that side and those who aren't are still very solid players like van Beek, McPeake and Kelly.
