KD Clarke and KDC Clarke has already confused me a couple of times this season when I thought Katene Clarke was playing as an all-rounder for ND A until I turned my brain on. I suspect this will continue to confuse me unnecessarily from time-to-time.

Are they brothers or related in some way? Super confusing K Clarke both.

Matt and Mitch Hay is more confusing for me.
Don't see a point, could have used the old ball and bowled spinners at both ends on this deck.
I think the plan was always to jag in a few overs of spin before the new ball, trying to get a wickets, and really I'm just pleased Ravindra was chosen for that role.

Watched few balls live, KDC Clarke can bat all right. Gets behind the line of the ball quite nicely. Wonder how his bowling is? Looks a tall guy.

Clarke did well at U19 World Cup in South Africa 2020. MOM in QF win, big partnership with Joey Field. I have talked to an experienced cricket watcher who was there, IIRC he said watch out for Clarke, Wheeler-Greenall, Mariu and Ashok.

Just looked up, ND lost another wicket to a spinner and the spinner is replaced by Van Beek from his end. Another instance of how we rate or persist spin bowling. Moreover this is a dry surface with assistance to spin. Who'd like to be a spinner?
Don't think so. Different ends.
86.5 Ravindra - Boundary.
then 87.3 Van Beek - wicket.

Up and down pitch at Cobham it seems like. Georgetown out to a lifter and Johnson to a ball keeping low. ND I think have good runs.

Wellington's specialist bats are all out while the opening bowlers are still going.

Foulkes opening for Canterbury, with McClure. Boyle, coming off the best figures in that innings, listed at 4.

Kristian Clarke's debut gets better. Wicket with his first ball in FC cricket.

Nothing particularly special about the delivery either way, but would be nice to get one under your belt early ....

Tidy 3rd seamer stuff. Domestic FC bowling looking good for ND for the next few seasons, Fisher + Clarke + Pringle to join mid-career Randell and Joe Walker .... but a little light on batting.

Dreadful looking card that from Firebirds. Geez.. the pitch can't be that bad on the 2nd day.

Gee not a good day for batting second. To be 43-5 after having 547/9 put upon you is rough. I'm glad Auckland found a way to unsettle the Canterbury medium pace barrage.

Wellington managing to put something together after being 43-8. Batdeep ™

Heh, both games are pretty stupid rn.

McLachlan's under a bit of pressure (for next season) after Johns' efforts in the A game, and is suddenly scoring runs from a dire position. Cool.

Huh. I hadnt seen this when I posted my moan. Great minds think alike ...

Didn't realise Younghusband was also playing.
Younghusband ( the specialist spinner) has now bowled 8 out of a total of 69 over of spin in the match to date.. Really what is the point of playing him? Specialist fielder?
