This is probably the best vid for what you'd get on a bbb basis from Tastle, despite the match format.

Yeah, that's about what I thought. Also the two readings at 77 and 78 kmh - domestic speed guns and all, but either way he still looks pretty loopy.

National U19 tournament is under way. The U19 World Cup takes place in Feb, is in Bangladesh so I assume will be a spinner dominated selection.

I guess you'd expect G Phillips, Finnie and Clarkson to be bankers for the squad as they are playing senior provincial cricket. I suppose Leopard you would assume as he has been pretty dominant at national youth levels.

Any others to look out for in this tournament that posters have seen a bit of (not just list names from top of the stats lists from last years youth tournaments)?
The CD v Auckland game sounds like it would have been good to watch. Harden, Clarkson & Leopard all got runs and CD scored 275. Then Phillips hit 137 with 11 sixes and Auckland won with a few overs to spare. O'Donnell (younger brother of Robbie?) scored 52. Clarkson went for 9 an over off his 5 overs.

AUCKLAND UNDER-19s vs CENTRAL UNDER-19s

Milne finally finding some success in FC cricket (and against a reasonably strong Canty batting lineup). I can already here the din of clamouring voices calling for his selection v Aus.

no. of overs more important than no. of wickets IMO.

At the Basin. Would normally be playing somewhere but head overseas this evening. Duffy's first two overs ordinary. Disappointing.

Nah no tricks afaik. Also the A tourney to be played on those pitches in a couple of weeks.

Some brief footage from down there on the current edition of the Cricket Show. Clips of Beauden Barrett's brother and Phillips.

Ok. Was wondering as Parikh and Ravindra are spinners near the top of the ladder, don't actually know what any of the others bowl.

Is Milne that good with the willow these days he's a first class number six? Noticed he played at seven for NZ A earlier this season too. He's always been a good bat but that good?

Probably not. Small has also played as a bat once and Wheeler has batted very high.

I have a hunch the saffa coach doesn't know any of the batsmen outside the 14 or 15. Especially now Van Wyk has gone and Cleaver is keeper.
