North City's best XI are only in Senior Reserve grade too, this season. The kids from the more affluent suburbs often meet cooler and edgier friends at a city high school or shortly after leaving it. It became a haven for the dunces, the mummy's boys and a significantly older demographic generally, Tawa and Whitby.

Small fields, artificial wickets, overlapping boundaries on up to all 4 sides
In this post-Phil Hughes cricketing world, I cannot fathom how teams are still being allowed to play at Ian Galloway where you can be fielding at square leg in one game and also be at deep mid-on in the next game. It boggles the mind. Even at Fraser Park, a decent sized ground in the Hutt, the boundaries still overlap albeit in not such a catastrophically stupid way.

Apart from his crumpled up action, Duffy's follow through has reverted again to about 2 steps.
yeah he needs a lot of work and I can't help but feel the t20 stuff is not only not good for him but it's probably making his action worse.

Remember when we ruined Southee for a couple of seasons by insisting that he became our ODI death bowler?
are NZ bowling coaches afraid to make any kind of intervention after the Lost Generation debacle? I'm impressed he can bowl 120kph from that position.
I knew Duffy was the Incredible Inside-out Man but that is extreme.(
Yeah he's almost gone Full Elton.

Never go Full Elton.
Six days after the sardonic computer nerds gleefully pelted him with their rotten tomatoes....

^^ thank **** for that.

But if it's that simple ..... Has he forgotten his login to the vault?

I assumed he was compensating for injuries or something.

We'd really need an insider to spill the beans on how often the vault is actually used by the players tbh. When I searched all of google, I found Neesham linked to one of the vault's mp4 videos once, but there was no-one else.

I think it's almost like the tone in New Zealand has filtered down from Sky's coverage to the domestic teams now, in terms of exuding a child-like sense of fun and enthusiasm for the sport at all times, rather than ever taking it in a "headmasterly and fault-finding, Skyliner/Captain Grumpy dick" direction. You basically let all of your charges run on a very long creative leash and let them figure out whether they want to attempt to fix any of their supposed flaws and deficiencies, or alternatively just run with them.

NZC funding a half-hour weekly analytical show in the same vein as Sky's Re:Union could be pretty good tbh, now that there's some colour back in the sport's cheeks and it doesn't have to worry so much about it checking out on them. The time for an exclusively proselytizing tone in order to broaden the base is feeling a bit overdone to me at this point.

Anyone know who is in the NZC XI side for the warm up team vs Sri Lanka in a couple days?

And why isnt Jamieson playing playing for Canterbury, and Hunter for Otago?

Jamieson's in the Canty A side playing a game right now. Henry and McCone will only make the prospect of him being seen in T20 even less likely though, perhaps for years.

If it's a 12 aside, never existed, match. Then put money on Seiffert getting a ton.

Certainly no Super Smash players will be involved. As casual as NZC can be, they'd have put that out in a release.

The Direbirds have now turned to Scott Borthwick for some run production. Craigchopa not required..

Actually like that move tbh. If Borthwick is serious about playing for England as a Tastle-type, overseas experience could be very handy.

Anything that Edgar does is a good move. Will be Matt Taylor who drops out of the team though.

Back in the 80s we were always bringing high quality players like that over for the Plunket, don't recall anyone decent in recent times since Graham Napier - the longlist of T20 imports nothwithstanding.

Perhaps that is a bit of respect that our domestic comp has a good reputation again.

Apart from the fact you keep importing reject Australian club cricketers to play at FC level :p

Not on Edgar's watch is my understanding - and the Direbirds were the only team doing that. Next move is to give Alekz day a one way ticket back to Wollongong.
