I really hope this isn't because he can't handle life outside cricket.
It's happening.
I just assumed Cribb was busy in phtoshop or that it is an April 1 thing.I really hope this isn't because he can't handle life outside cricket.
Saw he squeezed out a few nice cut shots. Canterbury weren't bowling pus either - they managed to clear up the rest of Wellington's batting.
Looks like he has been an lbw candidate at some stage of his life and has adjusted his stance accordingly.
I assumed it was an April Fool's joke when I saw it. He seems to have taken it down entirely now though which makes me wonder.I really hope this isn't because he can't handle life outside cricket.
Oh that pullshot is textbook. Yeah looks like an lb candidate though
Watching those highlights, Blundell's set up has changed a bit from when I was in Wellington. Looks like he's definitely taken a bit of the Jamie Siddons backlift on; he used to tap the bat down a lot more, and pick it up again as the bowler got into his delivery stride. Now, he's starting with his bat up, and his hands a lot higher and also wider than they used to be. He tended to move his feet more than the typical NZ batsman too, but from the highlights, it looks like now he's not really trying to get far forward - it's a bit hard to tell in that clip though, because there's a lot of short/back of a length bowling in there. Was always very quick on the pull shot, too.
