Awesome innings for such a young bloke. Its really good that most of the U-19s currently playing have adjusted to FC level quite well at such a young age. Bodes well for you ;)
Rutherford is the only guy I can think of that has done **** all.
Add Doug Bracewell to that list too.

Bracewell has scored a 50 at least hasn't he? His bowling seems meh at this stage though.
To be fair, he's the only bowler that's come through properly from u19s (Ili Tugaga has had 1 or 2 games). With the pitches around the place the way they are at the moment, expecting immediate success is very wishful thinking.

Properly? Don't get it, they all came from U-19s didn't they? Or did he skip club cricket or something?

No I mean properly as in they seem established in the teams to an extent. As opposed to playing a one off game because of injury or something.

Ah OK.

Just been cruising Cricinfo, saw Verma's profile. Apparently he's a fast bowling prospect..now don't mean to be nasty but I doubt it, though he is only 17 tbf, but he's still military medium.

I remember when he made his debut for Hamilton in the Hawke Cup a few years back, and the Waikato Times did a interview with his coach. He seemed to think that he would be around 145-150 by the time he was 21. But I don't see that happening lol.....

Todd Astle averages 0.2 from his last five bats! Can only

Also did have a concerning thought looking through that list... ICL players to come back some time and H Marshall to open for NZ?

Funny how everybody's favourite australian Cameron Merchant has fallen off the radar. Last year everyone (ok, it was cricket feedback on news websites) wanted to pick him ASAP for the black caps based on 'he's Australian and has a winning mentality' and not much else.

Now he averages 21.

Can I say, "I told you so"?
