***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2008/09

Ravaal 139*. Its in Auckland I think, only way I can think of for Young to score 50+ anyway (Auckz flat pitch). Excellent innings by Ravaal in his second FC game.

Great stuff from Jeet, I was at the ground this morning then came back when he was on 94 and watched until stumps. What a weekend for Suburbs!

Youngy also in great form this year.

Mclenaghan bowled some seriously quick deliveries.

Does anyone actualy have the definitive spelling on McClenananananananannanaghans name?

Jeet Ravaal when I saw him in that muck around 20/20 vs the NZ Masters looked pretty classy, whad'ya think of him Jimmeh?

Good to see Mitch bowling quick, at this stage he is still quite capable of screwing CD over in a game (much like Bennet at Canterbury), but he should improve to at least be a good FC bowler. If you have pace at domestic level anywhere in the traditional bowling countries, then you have a reasonable chance of screwing over the FC average of 30-35 brigade, and only being challenged by the good batsmen.

At this stage, pace+movement+accuracy are what we want from him, not overall figures. If he gets those wickets will come. Least he's not going at six an over anymore.

Can't say I rate Young much tbh, but then I didn't rate McGlashan.

Not sure about Mclenaghan, it's Jeet Raval though.

He plays for the same club as I do. He's seriously good.

It's McClenaghan, not that difficult.

What sort of record Blakey? Least amount of games before a 200+ score perhaps...it's only his 3rd FC game and only his 2nd FC innings.

Na, apparently this kid actually has talent.
So does McIntosh. Only scores with that lack of technique because he has an awesome eye.

Once upon a time McIntosh had a FC average of 40+ and was seriously talked of as a partner to Richardson.

Williamson on 89*.

Raval out for 256*. Finally, our bowlers getting mudered on State Highway 1.

Williamson dismissed for exactly 100. Good to see that ND is moving him up the order. He started the season at 6 and he's gradually climbed up to 4. He was a number 3 in U19 cricket so it'll be interesting to say whether he plays there next season.

Howsie

International Captain
Kane Williamson is a number three batsmen, that's where he played all his junior cricket. And he also debut for ND at three against Auckland a few years back.

I remember seeing his debut. Adams was all over him. Good to see him scoring runs though and taking a few wickets as well.

I reckon the selectors would have considered it if our batsmen had fell over and we lost the Napier test. The only real position up for grabs at the moment is number 3, and that is only because Flynn is injured (will he be fit for Welly?).

Williamson should be given one more season, if he performs similarly to this one, then he should be given a crack in ODI's and then probably tests the season after...if there is a spot of course.

Don't think there's room in the side for Williamson tbh, provided everyone is fit and the guys keep up the good work (considering their experience). Raval is different though, if he was 23 and had played 30 odd FC games and averaged 38+ he'd stroll in ahead of McIntosh.

Caught down the legside. That and run out looked the only two ways he could get out. Only about 35 short of the record at Eden Park as well I think.
Awesome innings for such a young bloke. Its really good that most of the U-19s currently playing have adjusted to FC level quite well at such a young age. Bodes well for you ;)

Rutherford is the only guy I can think of that has done **** all.
