Btw, NewJersey getting owned... :D... They're the ones who suck.

^ Yup agree it's gonna be hard, but not impossible... we'll only find out once the playoffs come around.
New jersey suck. I know, i never said that they dont. You talk like I am or I ever was a Nets fan.

Lol, no I didn't make that comment because I thought you are/were a NJN fan, I made that comment to outline the fact that they are the only realistic competition in front of the Raps, that can deny them of a playoff chance, and they suck.

I know you're not a NJN fan, you've already told me that :).

Don't have to convince Dallas fans of that! Yeah yeah, I should let it go. But I can't. Not until we win the Championship dammit!
And obviously no Dallas player has ever got a call in his favor. Dallas Fans and MAVs owner are biggest whingers in NBA and Dallas players are big time chokers.

I used to like Dallas but fans like you make me root against them and I am rooting for them to lose.

Calm down grumpy! 8-) My comments on Wade are not entirely serious. I am irked by the fact that he gets treated like Royalty, but I also realize that he's not the only superstar to get that treatment from the refs. However, if you think ANY Dallas player gets the same treatment as Shaq and Wade, then I don't know what to say.

And as for rooting for Mavs to lose because of whiny fans like me, be my guest. It's obvious from your comments that you don't even follow the NBA these days. And you give no respect to Dallas at all. So it would be great fun for us "whiny" Dallas fans to gloat when the Mavs prove casual "experts" like you wrong.

regarding shaq, i agree that he has an advantage because of his size and he definitely uses it, but i think quite a few refs go after him unfairly as well because of it...i've seen guys flop at the faintest of touches from shaq and he gets called just because he is shaq....so in recent years at least, i don't think shaq is getting that royal a treatment....

Josh howard playing great defense again. Last min of the dallas minn game with Minn being down by 2, denies Garnett from getting the ball by playing great defense on him, and once garnett does get the ball, rips the ball out of his hands and gets mavericks back the possesion with a few seconds left on the clock. What a player

If you say it every time Wade gets a call in his favor, it is called whinning.

Did you even watch the Cavs/Heat game ? And if you did and thought the James foul call was wrong then there is something wrong with your judgement, and if you didn't and still going on and on about how Wade was treated as royalty then It is some opportunistic Whinning by a dallas fan who continues to blame refs for their loss in NBA title games last year.

However, if you think ANY Dallas player gets the same treatment as Shaq and Wade, then I don't know what to say.
Who is keeping the count ? Anyways..

On Shaq - It is really very ironic coming that from a Dallas Fan, Did you know that it was the Dallas team that started fouling Shaq when they couldn't defend him (aka Hack-a-Shaq) and now they complain that he gets superstar treatement and blah blah blah. Yeah right..Shaq should not get a call...even better .May be NBA should just hand over the Trophy to Dallas Mavericks before the season starts.

ON Wade - The guy plays hard every time he has the ball in his hand and he is not afraid of defenders. He fearlessly attacks the basket everytime he gets the ball in his hand. He does get calls in his favor at times, but those are needed to control the amount of hard fouls against him and players like him.I only hope and wish that a Dallas superstar can attack the basket like Wade/AI etc do, only then you will understand it .

I hope that Dallas wins, at least it will stop your whinning. I can handle gloating after you finally win something but not your continous whinning and denying the other team their due respect . And as for respect - I give Dallas team a lot of respect and I think they are a great team which is still got to work on its defense to be considered a great one but if you want me to put up with Dallas fans/owner's continous whinning and cribbing or agree with you that Dirk should be the MVP or that Dallas defense is great then you are not getting that from me.

Who doesn't use his size/strength ? If he uses it then he also gets pushed and shoved more than everyone else in the NBA. And trust me majority of those pushes and shoves will count as fouls against player of lesser size/strength, so no I dont think Shaq used to get any royal treatment.

I jest about it each time someone points out an absurd call he gets. Perhaps that's whining. If so, fine. Fact is, like other superstars, Wade gets the hands-off treatment from the refs. What irks me is that he hasn't given his dues yet to get the level of treatment he gets from the refs. That's all.

Did you even watch the Cavs/Heat game ? I expect better from you Sanz. Please point out where I blamed the refs for Mavs losing the title and not Dallas? I have always stated that the refs gave some extremely unfair calls to Wade, but ultimately it was Dallas that chocked and lost the Finals. The Mavs self-destructed. They should've been able to overcome the bad calls considering the position they were in (up 2-0). Heck they were just 10 minutes away from being up 3-0. So please stop cherry picking my comments to suit your attacks.

This is a pretty dumb statement on your part. Yes, I realize that Don Nelson came up with the Hack-a-Shaq. I believe that he came up with that prior to coming to Dallas, but I may be wrong. Regardless, what does that have to do with anything? The tactic required INTENTIONAL fouling of Shaq to force him to make free throws. Here we are talking about Wade being fouled when it's clearly not in the opposing team's interest to send him to the line. As for your last statement in the above quote, being a bit melo-dramatic aren't you? Very childish of you.

ON Wade - The guy plays hard every time he has the ball in his hand and he is not afraid of defenders. He fearlessly attacks the basket everytime he gets the ball in his hand. I never disputed Wade's talent or work ethic. Considering that he almost single-handedly defeated the Mavs in the Finals, you don't have to lecture me about his play. As for Dallas players attacking the basket, they have surely improved in that aspect. If you had watched more than ONE game of Dallas, you would know that. Dirk, Josh, and Terry are not afraid of attacking the basket. They may not be on the level of Wade, but they're not a collection of jump shooters like you make them out to be.

I hope that Dallas wins, at least it will stop your whinning. I can handle gloating after you finally win something but not your continous whinning and denying the other team their due respect . Well at least both of us are hoping that Dallas wins, no matter what the motive! :D I disagree that you give Dallas respect. You don't think they're a good defensive team, even though they've clearly improved over the years and stats prove it. You think that Dallas being on top of the West is because the standard of teams in the division has declined. Yup, that's giving them plenty of respect! Lastly, I never made the statement that Dirk should be MVP. Again you're misquoting me to suit your own arguments, which is the last thing I would've expected from you.

Anyway, we have an interesting season ahead. It should answer a lot of questions. Perhaps the Mavs are chokers and won't amount to anything. Or perhaps they'll prove that last year was an anomaly and win it all this year. Some things aren't going to change though and both you and I should just get used to it. Like how Wade will continue to get absurd calls in his favors (and so would other superstars like Dirk, Kobe, James etc). And like how Mark Cuban and I will whine every once in awhile when that happens! :)

I brought up Hack-a-Shaq because people (esp. one Mr. Cuban and Dallas fans) used to complain that Shaq was getting to the ffree throw line and how lakers were getting so many free throws compared to other team..thanks to the refs favoring Shaq (according to Cuban)..and blah blah blah

And since you are a Dallas fan and brought up Shaq's issue, hence my response. I agree with you that if one just looks at your post, my response may look childish but if one looks at the history and the wider context(although implicitly) I was referring to, it really isn't.

In any case, I really dont care much about who wins NBA, I am from pittsburgh, we dont have any basketball team and I really have no reason to support Miami over Dallas or any other team except that I like Wade's game more than any other current player in the world. I have followed Wade's career through his Marquette days and he was super there as well without ref's support.

Raptors on a roll baby! We're now 2 games above .500, after we destroyed the Clippers today....

Bosh = 10 percent man, 90 percent amazing.

In other news, NJN fall to another devestating loss to one of the worst teams in the NBA, which the Raptors happened to destroy on Friday, and are now 4 games below .500... Playoffs here we [Toronto] come .

:( Cavs lose another... they're really ruining what was a great start to the season
yeah but lebron apart, they are not that great a team...in a weak east, they should still be able to finish in the top five....

Haha I saw this on another forum. It's a joke, I think most of you would get it if you know anything about Jason Collins

sadly yes.... :(

IMO they're really lacking a quality guard. Hughes is no slouch as a shooting Guard, but when it comes to organisation, they've really got no-one who's going to average 7/8 assist per game.

Isn't Lebron a really big hype ? People call him the next Jordan or something, but Forget MJ or Magic , the guy isn't even anywhere close to Kobe. He isn't even the best player in the east. It has been 6 years since he came to the league, its about time he lerd his team to a conf championship.
