Congratulations. Hopefully this quietens the doubters.

Waiting for match fixing quip from disbelieving Aussie in 5..4..3...

Fair play to them. That's all I can say. Absolutely superb stuff. If they rode their luck they certainly deserved to. Sorta thing I watch cricket for. :)

That was really their only choice once the RRR was up around 7, but they did it brilliantly. Ashraful took a lot of risks but exercised a great deal of discretion as well. The manner in which he took on Glenn McGrath was particularly well-done.

Well played Bashar. Ashraful was brilliant, without a doubt, but the captain was very solid on the other end. Lead from the front.

The smiles on the Bangladesh faces say it all really.

Highlights from Ponting's speech-
  • We didn't attack the bowling enough
  • We put down a couple of chances
  • The next game is a big one, and we'll put up a more committed approach
  • HOLDING: Panic Button? Maybe!

Mohammad Ashraful MotM with 96% of the vote. :) Michael Holding: "the only thing i can think to say is, why didn't he get 100%?" Rather culturally insensitive to present him with alcohol as the award... don't think he will care though. :)

Great win to Bangladesh, but I would have been more than happy for them to honorably lose by a couple of runs, to be honest - they get to give the top side in the world an incredible fright, and everybody wins - er, we win, that is. :)

Funnily enough, in spite of the obvous excitement for Bangladesh cricket, I found the whole thing fairly depressing - our bowling was just so lacking in penetration, and for the most part, impotent. And the fielding was pretty terrible, too. What concerns me most is that we may get another situation like the Twenty20 game tomorrow, where the Aussie bats decide to forcibly hand the poms a vengeful lesson again and self-implode.

Oh, and a terrible decision at the toss from Ponting.

And now I have to return some videotapes.

OMG! After all this time supporting Bangladesh they've done it again and against the champions. This is just unbelievable! Ashraful is such a legend and all of them, they all did great what a performance. So many critics everyone's said they don't deserve test status but **** yas all you have no idea how great it feels for someone who's so passionate about something that they've been put down for so many time and finally to overcome the greatest team on earth. No-one can take this away from us, as if India wasn't enough but they've done it again, my ****ing god. No words can describe this. Aftab's six in the last over was just magnificent, I'm lost for words a bit like Mohammad Ashraful but I just came here to say this because you have no idea how frustrated I get when I read your posts about how poor they are and especially Langeveldt. You can shove it you douchebag.
