may be it has to do with being the captain
last time an england captain score good runs at lords also was in a defeat.

india have a good record in lords now 4 win out of 5 and the one lose was the famous gvaskar 36*

win-win situation for both teams in certain way, eng had already won series and IND needed the much needed boost and now they can't be written off in trophy. I know this was not a must do game for eng but I feel 2 full time spin combo helps IND better along with pathan.
