Still got to bowl at least one over from LL or Ali, maybe more as Wood is giving away a boundary an over.

I think Cameron Green is overrated and that's the hill i will die on i suppose
I don’t know too many people who currently rate him that highly tbh. I think they rate his potential but certainly not what he’s delivered since the last home summer.

he’s would be an exponentially better cricketer if he learned to consistently rotate the strike. It’s a huge weakness of his.

Yeah, ODIs are Wood's weakest format by far. With hindsight lucky that his best ODI bowling came in the home WC.
lucky might be a stretch, plenty of chances to take wickets in conditions favoured him you'd have to say sensible, as was Woakes and Archer who also took 16+ Problem is, as with many England bowlers, they don't often travel well

and with Anderson and Broad autopicks (Tests obviously) almost up to Broad's retirement, and injury issues aplenty and chop and change selection policies equally aplenty, not much opportunity to see what new faces might do....

Atkinson might not have fared any better, but may as well have played over Wood. Willey had his two good game by looks

Would have liked to see Atkinson given a go. Otherwise why is he there? We deliberately took a ton of pace bowlers at the expense of batting reserves, presumably so they could rotate. If they won't play the younger guy when our best bowler is injured and out the tournament, other bowlers are out of form and our side is de facto eliminated already, when are they gonna pick him?

TV coverage showing Green's struggles with Wood. Well, the batter is scoring at a run a ball and the bowler has gone for nearly 7 so who's actually struggling?

Norwood's on Fire
Since that South Africa game, bowling and fielding has got a lot sharper. A shame that by that point the batting had completely gone into its shell
