***Official***Match #35 - New Zealand vs Pakistan - November 4th - Bengaluru

Pakistan could get there on the field tbh. They've done the hardest part of getting ahead with wickets in hand and pasting the best bowlers.

Babar and Rizwan must both score substantial scores though. Fakhar looks set for a double though jeepers.

International Captain
Even though the NRR won’t be harmed, I can’t imagine the impact that scoring 401 and still losing would have on the team’s mentality.

Even if we win today there are now major holes in our bowling, which suddenly looks toothless. Just a year or so ago we were talking about how much fast bowling depth we had.

Like I said previously that its just the matter of time before rain stops. And the rain has officially stopped.

What

Our fast bowling depth was non existent unless you acknowledge the rapists existence.

All the good young players are injury prone

Hard to cover major injuries and form loss at once though.

Boult - mid af
Henry - injured, had two meltdowns
Ferguson - injured, was bad for 4 years
Southee - passenger since 2015
KJ - not a good white ball bowler

Milne - not selected, injury prone
Duffy - haven't seen much, got pasted in India odi series (or was it Pakistan?)
Shipley - injured? Budget KJ

Anyone else a realistic look? We're way too conservative to elevate a Sears or whoever. Ravindra is only here by luck.

And as Athlai says, I think a few of us were skeptical it was ever there. In 2015 we had two odi standard attacks ready to go.

5.35pm: We have some good news for you. The rain has stopped!

The ground officials believe [cut-off time] is 7pm. The event officials believe it should be 7.40pm since the first innings ended late. Whatever it is, this much is certain. We are not going to have a full chase. So the overs will drastically come down.

Surely that’s just a basic thing that should be known by all concerned?
