Gentle reminder batting second this WC we chase England and Bangers with 9 and 8 wickets in hand, and 380 vs Aus.

Gotta back ourselves to do this

Probably 20-30 too many
We'll need someone other than Rachin or Mitchell to put their hand up and score a big century imo.

Maybe it will be...

Nicholas and Co absolutely blown away by the exact finish to the exact innings they were playing the entire time
.. Luckily Ponting was there to provide intelligent analytical balance by suggesting some of the batters to take an off stump line to combat the balls almost called as wides, but just sneaking in... + giving them the added option of flicking it towards mid wicket as well.

Nicholas was jerking off to each 6 that was hit that went a whopping 70 metres which has been done ad nauseum for the duration of the tournament.

Conway our best hope of that, I don't have much faith in Young or Latham scoring a big century.

Perhaps 300 par. I saw about one short ball misbehave all innings, it's a very flat pitch and the boundaries are short.

Just noticed that De Kock has swiped 545 runs this tournament.

He's now only 128 runs from Tendulkar's World Cup Record for most runs in a single WC edition.

always been curious re Neesham, any good or not. before today

Neesham (75 ODIs)
1495 runs @ 28.75 (HS 97no, 50 x7, SR 100.47)
70 wkts @ 35.53 (BB 5/27, ER 6.18, SR 34.50)

home
593 runs @ 32.94 (HS 71no, 50x2, SR 111.68)
30 wkts @ 31.20 (BB 5/27, ER 5.95, SR 31.47)

away
902 runs @ 26.53 (HS 97no, 50x5, SR 94.25)
40 wkts @ 38.77 (BB 5/31, ER 6.33, SR 36.77)

vs AFG/BAN/IRE/SRL/WIN/ZIM (30 ODIs)
577 runs @ 36.06 (HS 64no, 50x2, SR 115.40 )
42 wkts @ 23.62 (BB 5/27, ER 5.69, SR 24.90)

vs AUS/ENG/IND/PAK/SAF (45 ODIs)
918 runs @ 25.50 (HS 97no, 50x5, SR 92.92)
28 wkts @ 53.39 (BB 3/43, ER 6.55, SR 48.89)

so basically prospers against the weaker teams even if not as many fifties or as good a HS, probably due to the weakness of the sides meaning less crease time. Great little average, ER and SR against them too, unsurprisingly he has bowled 300 more balls against the better teams and done considerably less damage

so at pretty much all levels/depths he's pretty ordinary, struggle to justify him at #6 or #7 in any top side
