What's a good score on this pitch?
good score England won't get or good score regardless of who is chasing?

England's 5-11 looks pretty ropey, Livingstone's 31 tournament runs put into perspective by Butthead being out of form and yet has a HS of 43, and Wood best score of that lot with 43no albeit game was dead and buried when he got them

plus of course the fact that unless a pitch or conditions change markedly anything they can do "we can do better" (as Shami, Bumrah et al must be thinking sat probably more waiting to bowl than bat!)

Good score with respect to what Eng can chase

India favourites now given our batting ineptitude thus far this WC.
5-11 for England, HS is 43no from Wood and 43 from Buttler. Mostly the 7-11 churn out quick, or not so quick, 10s and 20s, may be handy finishing off an innings or chase but no substance especially on the odd occasion you need 100+ runs from them or support, or both

It's said that a good indication of the total is to double the score at 30 overs.

India are 131/3 so they'll be looking at least to get 265/270.

doubt they'd chase more than 240, although can't tell how good the bowling performance is/isn't until India bowl, two early Woakes wickets might be their lot for advantage and England top order skittled trying to bash at 7-8 rpo

one thing for sure if they are 100/3 or 100/4 I wouldn't back them to chase much at all, the bulk of their batting is in that top four with noone below there in any kind of form.
