***Official***Match #18- Australia vs Pakistan- October 20th-Bengaluru (D/N)

The Tiger King
Is it just much harder once the ball is softer and the openers will be able to cash in with a hard ball or is it the pitch is now harder to bat on?
The latter, the wicket seemed to be getting slower as the innings progressed. Which is why Aus couldn't get beyond 367 despite the strong start.

Which has not been untypical in this World Cup. And then the opposite seems to happen when chasing, some life first up under the lights, but then gets easier to bat as dew becomes a more significant factor.

The problem for Pakistan is they will probably be about 4 or 5 wickets down by the time it gets easier to bat with the dew factor and it will be too late.

I still don't get why teams choose to bowl first, if you send in a team like Australia today and they score over 350 you are up against it trying to win.

Scoreboard pressure still counts for more than any dew factor, I've never seen the dew score at 10 an over when you are about 4 or 5 wickets down.

Swinging early under lights, I would much rather face Starc during the day than at night.

That dew though, that will help after about 30 overs.
