Got a game in handAnd realise that Aus are at bottom of the table?
Didn’t realise they were playing in 1986/87They give you memorable wins at the Gabba though
I'd happily say this was a close game, having watched most of it. Lots of twists and turns, big moments that could have turned it etc.Throws open THE WC. Creates the first upset and first major bowl first casualty and attended by a healthy crowd for a non-Indis game. This game ticked off almost all major issues at the WC so far.
Only one left is the lack of close games, lol.
Not expecting Stokes to play in this one. He'll probably be saved for the big games towards the end of the group stage.
If Aghanistan bat first we might see a t20 game out of this one
love reading theseI'm hoping we bat first and break the record SA created a few days ago.
When you know you know!Reckon Afghanistan may have a chance here. Especially if the deck turns
Aidan has had a marelove reading these
As a Kiwi hopefully our bogey sides Sri Lanka and Pakistan won't make it either. Both England and Australia out of the top 4 would be beautiful. Please let there be a God.
Agreed. The definition of close games has slightly changed in recent times due to people being able to hit boundaries at will, even the tail. England still had a chance in the game till Brook got out.I'd happily say this was a close game, having watched most of it. Lots of twists and turns, big moments that could have turned it etc.
It just wasn't a close finish.
Today's game decides if one of the contenders will be SL or Australia. Going by recent results and form, Ind, NZ and SA look good to make it with 4th spot to be contended by 6 other teams. It is a long tournament and can change though. As a Kiwi hopefully our bogey sides Sri Lanka and Pakistan won't make it either.
SA and NZ could easily (and probably will) lose at least a couple of their upcoming games IMOToday's game decides if one of the contenders will be SL or Australia.
