Taylor to Johnson, OUT, even before the ball was about to be delivered, Johnson backed away to the leg side, Taylor sent one full and fast, honing in on the off stump. The flashing blade came down in an hurry but the ball evaded it to knock back the off stump.
MG Johnson b Taylor 15 (8b 1x4 1x6) sr: 187.50

280 is an absolutely massive target on this wicket. 200 would be very defendable. West Indies won't get anywhere near it. McGrath and Bracken will be a real handful with the new ball under lights.

Re: Katich, it's worth remembering that batting was extremely tough early in the innings. The bowling was all over the place and Ponting made it look easy, but Katich was obviously preserving his wicket for a reason, given it's a lively wicket and Australia picked one less batsman than normal. He does struggle with rotating the strike at times, but today wasn't really a great example of that.

Top 6 by Mitchell, only one of the game. Tail lacks potency imo and we should've gotten over 300.
Agreed, the value of Lee & Hogg being down their to hit a few goes unnoticed until we play without them.... The chase for 300 definetly wasn't helped by a slow start, and then katich & watson poking along...

Clarke played well though, to keep the score ticking over, and then being able to accelerate when needed!!

1 over from Johnson and I've seen enough to be convinced that he could have an enormous future - nearly 90mph with outswing gets wickets at any level.

Who are these bowlers? The Australian side is truly changing - and a part of me is sad to see the dominance coming to an end.

I wish the Australian selectors would've picked the A team here. And I wonder what Crab Chanderpaul ate for lunch. He went wild on Bracken.

Are you serious? Bracken has been an Australian ODI bowler for a long time. What you mean who he is? Look at his ODI record.

Anyway his first 2 overs were maidens, his last 2 have gone for 40+ runs. Unbelievable.

Last time Bracken was in India, he took 14 wickets @ 13.92. :p

Yeah I honestly have no idea what SS is smoking. Bracken is a very very good ODI bowler.

Nathan Bracken - A guy who wears way too many accessories.
Mitchell Johnson - A punk who has a lip ring.
Both are B-teamers playing for Australia in this match for who knows what reason.

Edit: Ok, maybe Bracken's a prospect, but I'd much rather have Lee using the new ball here.
