Don't think it'll be easy to take it even higher tbh. If he fails to perform in the 5th test (which will probably be flat), it could start going down.
I mean who knows what will happen... he is in the form of his life.. and has picked 8 or more in each match of this series so far except Adelaide because the batsman didnt even scored enough runs for him to bowl in 2nd innings.. i will predict another 8 wicket haul or more in 5th test

What do you guys think of this list? Fleming reckons Bumrah is the best touring pacers the last 45 years to Aus.

I think I rate Ambrose and maybe Hadlee still ahead though. Ambrose had much better Aus sides to bowl to.

Also think I would have gone Akram over Marshall. Marshall to me is a tad overrated in Aus.

That’s not surprising. Its easy to maintain after a smaller number of matches.
Don't think so. Your point starts rising from zero. So, if you play less number of matches, the weightage of the initial lesser point have a higher weightage. As you play more matches, the weightage reduces, and also there are higher points to balance those out.

That's why Anderson's average rating is higher than that of Barnes.

Yes initially, but after a certain number of matches, its easier to maintain

Ambrose Hadlee and Boom are the three best and very close. Also this series Bumrah has had a decent batting lineup to face as onwards the 2nd test, Labu/Smith/Head have been a force to reckon with. Also Hadlee’s best series was against a horrid Aus lineup in 1984-85

Yeah it's close between them. I would say Bumrah had an average series in 2021.

Ambrose to me is tops as he had three rocking series back to back.
