I think this game shows what can happen when a team goes into a Test with a glut of ODI cricket under their belt. England's ODIs stars have just been sloppy.

Hmm. My site had England at 1.60 just before the first wicket fell for Ireland, far higher than I expected. I'd say 250 would certainly have the Irish favourites.
107/2 shouldn't mean an expected score too far below 250. Ireland odds are still much worse than England's. I am certain 250 allout will not make Ireland favourites in the sites (but 250/6 and still playing may have them as favourites)

Root trying to buy a wicket with the spinners here, relying on Stirling to just go for a heave. Really should've just kept the seamers on and had some patience, it's remarkable how little England bowled simply good lengths at the top of off, and it was only a few overs ago that Broad got the edge twice by doing that.
