Hopefully this IPL we see the end of Jasprit Bumrah being rated as a good bowler. I always thought he is overrated. Simply relies on pace, unlike someone like Bhuvi, Cummins or Archer, who are metronomic control bowlers with extra bounce. All Bumrah does is the yorker, even that he messes up sometimes.

Mohammed Siraj is in incredible form. He always had the skill, now he has the belief that he is India's best bowler. Hope Kohli backs him and doesn't drop him for big WC matches due to Bumrah-fetish (I empathise with Shami for WC2019).
Jeez this is the first time I've ever seen him described as over rated. Litelerally nothing in his career so far can be described as anything other than brilliant. He is that good at so many things that I don't think his pace is even mentioned that much lol

aitorita’s questionable opinions

- Pant is an awful hack
- Bumrah is overrated
- Siraj has outbowled every other bowler by miles since debut

I think its fair to call him overrated - I'm not sure I agree but its an opinion I'd give time too - overrated doesn't mean bad you could still think he's India's best seamer and overrated but the suggestion that he just isn't a good bowler in general is interesting, and I've not really heard his pace referenced either

If anyone wants to watch real, fearless attacking T20 cricket, then Rajasthan Royals are the team to watch. Samson, Buttler, Stokes.. wow! In their bid to produce spectacular cricket, they might be a bit reckless but thats fine- they are the only attacking, reckless team in this tournament. All the other teams are boring and defensive in IPL. Rajasthan embody the spirit of Morgan's England with players like Sanju and Jofra.

Feel like the team lead by Morgan himself that have guys like Russell and narine, and a team with two of the best T20 hitters ever (Gayle and Pooran) qualify for that "attaching T20 cricket" brand more than rajistan. Or maybe the team with Glenn Maxwell, ab devilliers, and Finn Allen In the same lineup.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, team selection, role definition consistency, wrist spin and fast bowling fetish are always issues with Virat's captaincy. He has shown some improvement in the first 2 but the last one remains a bugbear.

Lynn seems like one of those batsmen who'll either smash the ball or just defend it meekly, KL Rahul is similar. These kind of batsmen look great when they are in flow, but a problem otherwise. Not keeping the batsmen at the other end in the mix of things by rotating the strike(when the ball is not there to hit) is a sin IMO. Also, giving away easy dots despite of scoring good runs is a problem that almost always goes unnoticed in close games. Surely there are deliveries that you simply have to defend and show some respect to the bowler, but "block or smash" can't be the structure of your innings in every game.

Fakhar Zaman is like that too. Shikhar Dhawan is also a bit like that sometimes. I dont think Rahul is actually like that, he just tries too hard to be something he is not.

Anyways, its called "Block or bash" and it used to be a staple of the Windies batsmen.

I mean if you are a Gayle or Sehwag you are allowed to do that, because the batsman at the other end will simply have to complement you. These guys playing a long innings means the opposition is more or less out of the game. Not the same case with guys like Dhawan and Rahul.

I like them playing Harshal coz I feel he can be of real value, a budget Lord Shardul for them.

But man, Virat wastes talent like Washi. :(
