************Official IPL 2020******

Whatever it takes!!!
KKR always thought of Morgan as a captaincy option. But the fact that the ECB won't give a clear window for IPL always meant the availability of the English players for the entire season was always a question mark. I remember how much RR sucked once Stokes and Buttler left last year or maybe the year before. Which is the reason they went with DK in the first place. I really do think going for an overseas player as captain is a risky proposition in any regular season unless its someone retired like Warne or Gilchrist were in the first two editions. I guess CA have mostly allowed their players to play full seasons and so Warner is not a tough choice, plus they have KW to replace him even if he does have to leave, NZC almost never schedule any games during the IPL season.

Unless this is a genuine short term strategy, I dont see it being a good move. Mid season captaincy changes never boost any team's morale but almost all the time do take it down a peg.

Karthik is such a stand-up guy though. I wouldn't be surprised if he suggested the swap of his own accord. Morgan is similarly level-headed and would have been in the leadership group anyway. Hopefully, it's just the optics (and their respective batting contributions) that are changing.

Thank god Karthik is out as captain. Hopefully we can regroup and get our act together.. still few matches left.

Cummins has made some kind of mental adjustment to his batting surely. He wasn't looking too flash in the ODI series in Eng, but he's a legitimate attacking lower-order bat here.

Strike rate of 200 in the last 2-3 overs of the innings since 2018 apparently

His IPL numbers are 20 @ 150+
