I hope he does, but he's starting with a big deficit. We're used to seeing most of our future greats come on the scene with classical techniques aren't we? Maybe he'll be the Sehwag type (but even he looked balanced at the crease for the most part, albeit with minimal footwork).

They showed a graphic of how Shreyas has improved his technique a fair bit from couple of years back. It's a bit harsh to say Shaw he will never be good at test cricket.. I am sure he will get adequate advice and make adjustments where he can.

Yes. Might just be me making an obvious association, but that cover drive he played on the rise was very reminiscent of Ponting. Spending time with him will be massive in his development.

Think it is time for Suryakumar Yadav and Nitish Rana to be blooded into the Indian LO sides as our #6 options. Both men bowl some handy offies as well when needed. Also time to invest in Rahul Tewatia, Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag in the A sides as #6/7 options. The question mark, as always against any young Indian batsman coming on the scene, would be their ability to play fast short stuff in bouncy conditions given that LO cricket almost never produces swinging wickets these days but I think it will be worth the investment.

Yeah, Narine should have been Akmalled a long time ago; it's only because he's part of an accomplished league that he's been hanging on.
He tried reinventing himself as a cricketer (batsman)...but that's starting to rub off now.

I agree with this theory. His action is fine 95% of the time IMHO. I also believe he knows he either knows what he is doing or just reverts to the old one under pressure.

Either way after the CPL and this I doubt he will play international cricket again. His action won't stand scrutiny.
