Whatever it takes!!!
He was the very definition of a no-nonsense all effort cricketer who made the most of his abilities. Does his job efficiently and quietly in an underappreciated manner. Perfect to be an umpire, tbh.
I do fear a bit for CSK, (well after all the ridiculous comeback wins against my team fear is perhaps the wrong word!) but the main reason I think they may be in trouble is that it would be hard to see them winning in Sharjah, they might come across another team who play badly on the day but wouldn't be banking on a win in any of their 2 remaining Sharjah games. If they don't win one of those 2 it quickly becomes 6 wins in 8. But agree overall won 1, lost 3 isn't dreadful - its more CSK's play in general more then them being 1 and 3 (presuming they don't pull off a great escape) that makes me think they won't qualify this year. But Sunrisers were 0 and 2 and suddenly look like being 2/2 so you can't fully write off a side this early but hard to see how CSK make it (for me personally)I really dont think it is that bad to go 1-3 now... u need to win 7 to have a chance to be in the play offs so as long as they can win 6 of the next 10 it is still ok for CSK and I think the side they have now is the most balanced one they can have. Still few things to figure out with respect to the batting order but I wont be pressing panic buttons yet. Mainly because, it is obvious the bench is much worse than the 11 they have out there.
They might have toI'd give him another over
The worry is their bench strength is bare but I think the 11 they have out today (and maybe with Santner) can do the job more times than not. 6 out of 10 is not tough for a side like this in these conditions. Especially if they can lay off the friggin no balls. Cost us 30 against RR and now 15 this game.I do fear a bit for CSK, (well after all the ridiculous comeback wins against my team fear is perhaps the wrong word!) but the main reason I think they may be in trouble is that it would be hard to see them winning in Sharjah, they might come across another team who play badly on the day but wouldn't be banking on a win in any of their 2 remaining Sharjah games. I just wonder if they have the batting lineup to chase (likely) 200+ scores at Sharjah - especially when its not against RCB's bowling attack. Sport isn't played on paper and so you can never say never but would be surprised if they won v Delhi or Mumbai at Sharjah - form of Shane Watson is massive if they are to have a chance. Although they are just keeping themselves in the chase v SRH - SRH aren't the sort of side to choke with the ball thoughThe worry is their bench strength is bare but I think the 11 they have out today (and maybe with Santner) can do the job more times than not. 6 out of 10 is not tough for a side like this in these conditions.
