I actually quite enjoy the IPL, and have really enjoyed it so far this season. I work nights and the games are on when I finish work so I've generally watched most of a game per day for over a decade. It's pretty inarguable that the fielding standards are hilariously bad every year, though I'm sure a lot of it has to do with conditions.I wAtCh iPl FoR 3 MiNuTeS aNd TaLK **** aBoUt It. I think it is fair to consider the effect of Dubai and the ring of fire lights when it comes to assessing the standard of fielding in the IPL this year. It would be interesting to see stats of drops in LO cricket under lights in Dubai overall. Surely the high catches that go above the light ring will be very tough for anyone. It's pretty inarguable that the fielding standards are hilariously bad every year, though I'm sure a lot of it has to do with conditions.
I certainly didn't intend to imply it was an issue only with the Indian players. Over the years there's been poor standards set by domestic and foreign players alike. In any case, comparing domestic cricketers to established overseas internationals (generally) isn't a fair fight. I'm sure calamitous events like the Kane run out earlier probably have a lot to do with players playing together who never have before. That said, with most Indian Domestic cricketers, you can always safely bet their batting or bowling will be of a much higher standard than their fielding. The hard outfields dont help kids learn diving and understanding the impotance of physical fitness is always a challenge at an overall level here.
That is SOP for CSK.So many dots to start this run chase.
Watson should do what another very similar player to him does (Finch) and just say **** it and give himself room and go over the offside. Even one or two shots will put the bowler off because of the reputation of the batsman. Its how Finch got over Bhuvi. The chop-on was on the cards.
He does, doesn't he? Even as a bowler, he had the most chilled out action, rocking back at the crease and landing them on a dime like a gunslinger. Never thought he would put himself through the tedious process of becoming an umpire but I'm happy to see him around in any capacity.looks like Bruce Willis. I am sure that helps.
