**Official* IPL 2016

I think teams are not pacing their innings properly while batting first (except RCB, whose problem is bowling). Teams are starting to attack way too late. Generally they are around 100 after 15 overs, and attacking mainly in the last 5 overs. In the process they are ending somewhere in the 130-170 range. But the chasing teams are not waiting for the last 5 overs; they are starting the aggression phase earlier.

His economy rate in T20Is and IPL is very similar. What is dramatically different is the strike rate. T20I: 15.53, IPL: 22.37.
Yeah, I let my opinion of him be formed by his ODI record and the the lack of memorable performances from him in T20 cricket. I would never have guessed he had that good a T20I record. Honestly the only memory of him that I have in T20I is that WCT20 SF (?) where Kohli tonked him around and he had that look of disbelief on his face.

He has been **** in the last 2 editions of the IPL.
Come to think of it, didn't he get into hot waters early on when he admitted that he only played IPL for the money? I don't know if that's necessarily an explanation for his poor performances in the league, because (a) it is in his interests to perform well so he makes more at the auctions, and (b) 90% of his opponents are in it for the money too, only that they aren't as forthcoming about it as he was.

Looks like next IPL edition could be moved out of India.

Well they could have well moved it this season as well considering the amount of drought-hit states in the country. It was pretty shameful that there was even a conflict of interest regarding moving matches out of drought-hit states like Maharashtra.BCCI is probably the most despicable body in all of sport.Pure scum.
And the fact none of the franchises came forward and spoke about this issue is even more shameful.

I think they way SA has handled him has something to do with it. He has played an unusually low number of ODIs considering the length of his career. The management has tried to ensure that he gets to play as many Tests as possible. I guess this makes him very clear about what his priorities are.

Reckon RCB left 20 runs out there, Kohli SR to low for facing over half the balls.

Superkings won't chase it from here though.

It sounded more like a bullying tactic and reeks of "I will take my bat and ball and go elsewhere to play" than any real concern for the nation or its issues. In other words, typical BCCI crap. And trust me, this new regime is even more of a bully than Srini Mama. Chennai sidelined forever, SC being basically told we will not do anything you say unless it involves knocking down Srini, Anurag Thakur's BS abt a day night test without even discussing with NZC properly (desperate attempt to create positive news about themselves)... What a bunch of morons..

I think they should have the right to move it out of the country if they want to.

I also think the government should be able to strip the BCCI of the right to use the "I" in the IPL/BCCI/national team etc if it came to that.

Rancid innings from Dhoni that.
Yeah, these type of knocks are becoming unfortunately more frequent for him with age. Just can't get it away, and then hits it down long-on/long-off's throat when the game is virtually up.

Think if KP is out for a bit, it might help RPSG shore up their line up.

Just seems to have more firepower and better batsmen at the right positions than their current line up plus a plethora of bowling options as well.

He's actually quite good. A lesser man wouldn't have deliberately missed the stumps to test their own steel when the chips are down.
