No need to analyse so much guys - Hardik Pandya is a bad bowler period. He'll leak runs even if he doesn't bowl short. He doesn't have accuracy, pace or movement. He is a typical Indian cannon fodder 5th bowler who has to be a pace bowler because we have 2 world-class spinners and 2 batsmen who can bowl part-time spin in our team.

The fact that he strikes better with the bat and fields better than Stuart Binny, Rishi Dhawan, Irfan Pathan and Rajat Bhatia is precisely why he's in the National team.

I think Steyn just treats the IPL as an easy payday, he doesn't really give a ****. Can't really blame him TBH.

I don't know if he's bad at this because he's in it for just the money, or whether he's Zohaibing like an Australian fan on Steve Smith by pretending he doesn't care for it because he's innately **** at it.

He's just not as good at limited overs cricket in general, no doubt. But he was devastated after the WC loss last year, I think we can say he at least cares about that tournament.

I don't think he is innately **** at T20s. He has a bowling average of 17 and an economy rate of 6.7 in T20Is and 58 wickets in 42 matches. Compare this to Malinga's average of 20.28, economy of 7.26 and 78 wickets from 62 games.

Wasn't he the best ODi bowler in the world heading in to the world cup?

My apologies to Steyn. He's no Steve Smith.

His economy rate in T20Is and IPL is very similar. What is dramatically different is the strike rate. T20I: 15.53, IPL: 22.37.

Quite surprised. Can't remember one notable thing he's done in T20s, though I vaguely remember him bowling a good last over against someone in the previous WC. Guess that also says a lot about bowlers in this format in general.

He had a great 2013, where he tormented Pakistan's poor batting lineup home and away and made Rohit Sharma look like a clueless mug once.

Yeah against NZ in WC 2014. Defended 7 off the last over, gave away like 2 or 3 iirc.

So 14 of the 15 matches have been won by the side fielding first. A little lame that the toss has so much importance. They really need to figure out a way to balance that.
