It's bad because its slow, not because the batsmen have to work. If it was hard and fast and bouncy and swinging, and rewarded pace, it would be a fantastic pitch. It's not a good thing when all the bowlers have to bowl at 110kph to be the most effective. Sorry, but Dimi should not be opening the bowling, let alone be so effective.

The wicket now does have some pace, bounce and the ball is swinging. Hence why Ganguly can't score a run.

It is not too bad, the weather will clear up which will sort the pitches out and the games have shown the value of applications at the crease for the batsmen.Stunted atmosphere, slow crappy pitches, one sided games, ****ty lights, and worse weather. Working out well in South Africa.

Good to see a Sikh quickie in cricket, gives me hope in a sad way. However, he does lack pace. The accuracy and seam position are good though and I'm not sure where he loses that yard of pace, tbh - the run up is brisk and he has a pretty nice, explosive action.
