CSK move to the top of the table with a comfortable victory over RR, who just didn't fire today

CSK will be playing BRC, MI, KKR and K11 .... so they will be playing the bottom 4 teams of the table [at this time]

RR will be playing DC, DD, MI and KKR .... if RR manages two wins out of those 4, it could be in the semis where it will probably take on either DD or CSK. In the semis, hopefully one or two of RR match winner has a good day and we take out one of the two favs :p

RR has done well to rotate its players. As for the bowlers, Munaf can come back in and may be give Atul a chance .... and if Carseldine is playing, it won't be a bad idea to play him in the top 3

11
- Smith
- Ojha
- Carseldine [or Dimi / Henderson]
- Jadeja
- Pathan
- Raut
- Warne
- Harwood / Morkel
- Munaf
- 2 from: Kamran [hopefully he will be cleared], Amit, Atul, Trivedi

If the need to strengthen the batting [hoping that their all-rounders will do a decent job as 5th bowler], they can pick one from the two above and play one of the batsmen

let's see how the teams stack up after today's game

target 15 to 16 pts .... * indicates that a team need 7 wins as it can leverage on 1 point that it got from a washed out game

team - games remaining - #of wins needed [% of games]
1. CSK* - 4 - 1[25%]
2. DD - 6 - 2 [33%]
3. RR* - 4 - 2 [50%]
4. DC - 5 - 3 [60%]
5. K11 - 4 - 3 [75%]
6. RCB - 5 - 4 [80%]
7. MI* - 5 - 4[80%]

The first match was exciting but Chennai was always going to be too good for Warne's motley crew. Smith and his pint-sized partner destroyed any hopes RR had of a competitive total.

Have you read the fakeiplplayers latest blog? You knew those Ego's were a match made in heaven. Only if Ponting Showed up it would be even better

If Ganguly does get dropped today and if all the blame unfairly goes toward McCullum, Buchanan better man up and take the blame

Thoughts on dropping Morkel?
Well Albertus will be some chance of getting dropped because he hasn't made the quick runs they expected and he's bowled some very expensive overs at times. He's on big money but this year, unlike last season, he hasn't justified it. Hayden has done so much better and should be on bigger money than Albertus.

  • Why does dropping Ganguly mean someone HAS to be "blamed" for it?
  • Why cant someone take "credit" for dropping the guy?
  • What makes Ganguly the next thing after Viv Richards in limited overs ?
  • Why cant someone stand up and say we dropped the guy because in "our opinion" he does not deserve a place in the side?
  • Why does everything involved with Ganguly have a deep rooted conspiracy theory attached?

Because most Ganguly supporters are pretty partisan. And the FakeIPLPlayer is an idiot too.

Finished eating your words? Badri has outshone Hayden in this match.
Hardly call it outshone, more like hog the strike, block the good bowlers and then murder the weaker ones whilst Hayden was consistant as the good and bad bowlers.

Hayden played an arguably better and more valuable knock but Badri certainly outshone him.

A lot was made of JP's price-tag but he is the Indians highest run-getter by some distance. They just needed someone in the middle order who could also contribute.

Rahane doing a good job. Shah, Thirwy and Dhawan are some of the best Indian flat track bullies going around. Two of those three could contribute in India.
