The pandemic probably has a lot to do with this, and the fact that for a lot of people live sport will be their major escape from the hellhole that is current events. It's pretty clear that both sides have resolved to make this a very "clean" series with minimal controversy, just cricket.Think DC was obviously being TIC there?

On Gill, he's actually got a bit of Rohit about him in that he doesn't move his feet much at all but has excellent weight transfer. This gives the perception that he has all the time in the world to play even 140+ bowling.
He had countless flirts outside off, especially in the first innings and plenty of edges falling short and going in gaps.
Then again he was on debut playing against the best bowlers in the world away from home so it might be too early to pick at that as a flaw. He still certainly looks the goods and more capable than almost every other young batsmen we've debuted for ages. Really excited to see how he goes in the future.

Would rather play Shardul. He may give away same amount of runs in same rate, but he will likely get more wickets and also score more runs. But hopefully, Saini can surprise us and do well.
