Injuries aside dare I say he only ever struck gold in 2019 and that one test in the Ashes that year where he focused on line and length and got his speed down.

Ummm nah man he did fairly well in this CT. But hasn't been able to build up rhythm in tests because he hardly plays 2 in a row. But this IPL experience could humble him a bit. Think he needs it. Lot of smoke been blown up his arse for a man that doesn't move the ball laterally much

Why would MI drop the best bowler from their previous game?

I said it before... I feel MJ and Dravid are overthinkers who will complicate simple stuff and usually end up causing more harm than good for their teams.

The tactical cat and mouse on here again.

GT sent out SRK coz he can hit spin. So MI were forced to bring Boult back earlier than they would have wanted and probably bowled the last over of Hardik earlier than planned too. SRK got out for 9 off 7 or something but GT would think it was a win for them overall coz now they get the slog overs delivered by the less experienced bowlers. Maybe a wicket is a decent enough bargain to achieve that end.

Yeah bowling proper heat.. 143+ quite a few times and the ball that got Rickleton was 146 kph.

In fact, GT may have stumbled on to something here. I dont think they would need Prasidh in too many games but with Ishant as the Impact Sub, they can very well go with Ishant and Siraj for 5 of the 6 powerplay overs and have Rabada bowl the other one. They can even bring in Washington Sundar for Prasidh in conditions where you want more spin and batting.

He went over the top a few times but in general, he is no Sreesanth or anything. He mostly seems to keep it reasonably impersonal too, even if he does sledge.
