Mills has the potential but is still raw. A good yorker would be good for the end when the batsman are looking for the slower ball. Needs to also work on his new balls skills really although RCB have quickly (and correctly) stoppped using him much in the powerplay. And as you say even if he has the physical properties to do well, you still need to be smart in your application of the skills- and work things out quickly if you don't want to be dropped. His fielding has been terrible also and batting 9 when he's a number 11 bat. I'd be dropping him now and give him a break.
Hard to justify selecting Mills ahead of Watson as a bowler alone IMO

Mills has an excellent slower ball, but uses it bit too often. If you bowl 4 slower balls in an over, however good you might disguise your slower balls it really won't work.
clint mckay has bowled a maiden in the final over of a twenty twenty against andrew tye with exclusively slower balls and it was glorious

I think what's worse is that they didn't even try to steal a bye, even on the last ball

Well, Federer is the GOAT in Tennis because he combined the genius with the hardwork and resolve (and obviously the luck) to achieve the results. I agree that AB is not at THAT level yet but just as a genius of the game, I think the comparison is very valid.

In other words, what vcs said. :p
It's too late for him to achieve that level of greatness though.

Not if you've seen Watson bowl recently. He's out of form or he's just done.
Nah I haven't tbh, was just judging by what I saw last year.

Unfortunate for him if he's done, but I doubt too many people will care overmuch.

Whatever it takes!!!

Yeah, in hindsight, I think the better comparison would be Marat Safin, who, IMO, was just as much a genius with an all-court, all-types game as Federer but who for various combinations of reasons, never achieved genius level results.

Top performance this from KKR. I do think there is room for Shakib in this side especially on this sort of pitch though.

Sunrisers chase an absolute mess, I liked what I seen of Hooda a few years ago in this when at Rajasthan, but he really doesn't seem to have developed any sort of game awareness, and yes I am giving him leeway as a hitter. Shame as India could do with some power hitters, but this guy isn't near ready for that level yet.

Narine's starting to become good again. Send him for testing.
What would be the point? He could just bowl differently when being tested.

Testing is pointless unless you can do it in-game.

(yes I know you're joking but just saying)

come on billers. He invariably looks the part but he needs that one big score to hopefully break through.
