Narine opening.. What is he, a pinch hitter or something? Always looked like a tail-ender to me.
He opened a few times in the BBL. I've no idea of his actual numbers, but I do remember him getting a few big shots away. That said, I don't think he ever did anything especially amazing.
Guy's highest score in any cricket is 40* so can't be much of a batsman but I guess if he is there to hit out or get out it can't hurt them if he can score a quick few.
And after all that he hits 37 off 18

Not watching. So it looks like it paid off handsomely. How did he look? Proper batsmanly?

did boult smash a house full of mirrors or something
Must have done something to get on the bad side of his teammates. It's uncanny how they keep letting him down in the field.

Look at his figures to date in the tournament & you'd think he must have bowled utter garbage, but he hasn't actually bowled badly at all.

Had that previous game won for them a few nights back when needing to defend 11 off the last. Bowled a couple of superb bouncers, only for some muppet to drop the easy catch which would have basically sealed it.

And this last game, it's like the fielders were ornaments off his bowling, with boundaries going straight through them at least twice, and that stupid 4 overthrows.

Will frustrate the *** out of Boult because he just won't be used to such a diabolical level of fielding normally playing for New Zealand.

I dunno, I recall him hitting someone for 4 sixes in a row in an ODI/T20I
Yeah, that was Glenn Maxwell. Got out going for another though.

Funny throwback to the time when Maxwell's bowling was considered a legit option rather than whatever it was he bowled last night.

Good for Pollard.

English players might as well come home now. Most of them should be dropped at this point.

Mills has an excellent slower ball, but uses it bit too often. If you bowl 4 slower balls in an over, however good you might disguise your slower balls it really won't work.

Mills has the potential but is still raw. A good yorker would be good for the end when the batsman are looking for the slower ball. Needs to also work on his new balls skills really although RCB have quickly (and correctly) stoppped using him much in the powerplay. And as you say even if he has the physical properties to do well, you still need to be smart in your application of the skills- and work things out quickly if you don't want to be dropped. His fielding has been terrible also and batting 9 when he's a number 11 bat. I'd be dropping him now and give him a break.

With RCB's batting line up i highly doubt he will ever be needed to bat either at 9 or 11, also given their indian fast bowling options are arvind and stuart fecking binny, dropping him is not an option.

How poor was that batting line up of RCB today (barring the top 4). Had they been 7 for 4 like MI they would've rolled out for 60 odd.

How come Tye was only just making his debut? I thought he got picked up past 2 seasons.

Seems mad he's spent 2 IPLs sat carrying drinks.

Badree & Tye both with hat-tricks. Not just in the IPL, but it feels as though there's been quite a few recently.
